Three Killed in Fatal Collision Near Tillsonburg, Ontario

Three people are dead following a violent collision near Tillsonburg, Ontario, roughly 43 kilometres southeast of London, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

The crash, which occurred Friday afternoon around 4 p.m., involved an SUV and a pickup truck on Mall Road between Oxford Road 13 and Middletown Line. Emergency crews rushed to the scene after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting severe damage and trapped occupants.

Police said the two passengers inside the pickup truck were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but both were later pronounced dead. The driver of the truck survived and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 75-year-old driver of the SUV was also taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation unit spent several hours at the crash site collecting evidence and reconstructing the sequence of events. Investigators have not released the names of the victims, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Mall Road was closed for much of the evening but has since reopened. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to contact Oxford County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
