Thomas Partey Wins 2025 Ghana Footballer of the Year Award

Black Stars and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been crowned Player of the Year at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards, held on Saturday night at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

Partey, 32, edged out Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth and Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao to clinch the top honour, marking his third career win after previous victories in 2018 and 2019.

The Arsenal star enjoyed a standout season, playing a crucial role in midfield as the Gunners reached the UEFA Champions League semifinals and narrowly missed out on the Premier League title. Despite injury concerns in previous seasons, Partey was available for most of the 2024/25 campaign, offering stability and leadership in Arsenal’s engine room.

The seventh edition of the Ghana Football Awards celebrated excellence across various categories, with Partey’s consistent high-level performances making him a deserving winner.
