Rapper and entrepreneur Rick Ross is drawing attention once again — this time for a striking feature of his 300-acre estate outside Atlanta: a residential swimming pool holding an estimated 350,000 gallons of water, among the largest in the country.
The property, known as The Promise Land, requires a team of four specialists from Georgia Plaster and Tile to maintain the pool. Ross says the vast space is more than a showpiece; he uses it daily, particularly in the summer, and incorporates the water into his morning meditation routine.
“I love being in the water… I’m an Aquarius,” he told CNN. “Shout out to all the Aquariuses.”
A Venue for Film, Community Events, and Inspiration
Ross frequently leases the estate to film productions, including 2018’s Superfly and the 2021 sequel to Coming to America. He also opens the property annually for a large-scale car show and a ticketed pool party, events he says are designed to motivate young people by offering a tangible example of what he believes hard work can achieve.
At this year’s party, Ross greeted fans, posed for photos, and popped bottles of Luc Belaire sparkling wine. One attendee, Brad Baker, who drove three hours from Greenville, South Carolina, described the rapper as “just positive energy” and a model of success.
“Wet Wet” as Creative Fuel
Ross jokingly calls the pool “Wet Wet”, saying the expansive setting often sparks his creativity. “That’s the ghostwriter,” he said. “There’s no way you come out here and not be inspired.”

Expanding His Business Empire
In addition to his music career, Ross has built a broad business portfolio, including ownership of multiple Wingstop franchises, a partnership with Luc Belaire, and investments in Rap Snacks. He says he hopes his journey from his upbringing in Miami to one of hip-hop’s most recognisable moguls encourages others to imagine wider possibilities for their own futures.
