Pop superstar Miley Cyrus has confirmed that she is engaged to musician Maxx Morando, a milestone that comes after four years of dating. The news became public when Cyrus appeared at the world premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash in Los Angeles on December 1, 2025 wearing a sparkling diamond ring on her left hand. Maxx Morando’s father also shared a congratulatory message on social media, adding to the excitement.
In a recent interview, Cyrus shared that the proposal took place during a trip to Japan. She admitted she was completely surprised. “I usually like to plan everything, but this time, I completely surrendered,” she said. She confirmed that she said “yes” and praised Morando for choosing the perfect ring.
The engagement ring, designed by Jacquie Aiche, features a cushion-cut diamond set on a thick 14-karat yellow-gold band. Experts say the ring could be worth between $150,000 and $450,000, depending on the diamond’s quality.

Cyrus and Morando first met on a blind date in late 2021 and went public with their relationship in 2022. Morando, a drummer and producer for the band Liily, has collaborated with Cyrus on several projects, including her visual album Something Beautiful. Cyrus has described Morando as someone who inspires her and treats her with respect, qualities she values after past heartbreaks.
In announcing the engagement, Miley said she feels this moment fits perfectly with her personal and professional life especially with her new song Dream As One, featured in the soundtrack for Avatar: Fire and Ash. She expressed gratitude for having a partner who supports her dreams and growth.
Fans and loved ones quickly took to social media to congratulate the couple, celebrating this exciting new chapter in Miley’s life.
