Robin Hood is back on TV in a new series that tells the story of how he became a hero. The show focuses on Robin as a young man, before he became the famous outlaw known for helping the poor.
The series is called Robin Hood and stars Australian actor Jack Patten as Rob, a young archer. His life changes after his family faces tragedy and injustice. The show also follows his friendship with Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord, played by Lauren McQueen.

The story takes place in 12th‑century England, a time when Normans ruled much of the country. The series highlights the fight between rich and poor and shows how Robin stands up for those who are treated unfairly.
Famous actors such as Sean Bean, who plays the Sheriff of Nottingham, and Connie Nielsen, as Queen Eleanor, are also part of the cast. The first season has ten episodes, combining action, history, and drama.
The creators, John Glenn and Jonathan English, said they wanted to show how Robin became an outlaw and why he fought for justice. They said the show also focuses on social issues, something that older versions of Robin Hood did not show as much.
The series will start on the streaming platform MGM+ on November 2. The producers hope the show will attract both fans of the old Robin Hood stories and new viewers. Jack Patten, who plays Rob, said he had not watched previous Robin Hood films before taking the role. “Every generation deserves a Robin Hood… we get to be this generation’s Robin Hood,” he said.
This new series gives a fresh look at the story of Robin Hood. It shows his early life, his struggles, and how he became the hero who fights for fairness.
