R&B singer Ray J was arrested early Thursday morning after an alleged domestic dispute at his home in Los Angeles. The incident reportedly happened while he was livestreaming.
Police said they were called after someone reported a possible custody dispute. The caller also mentioned that Ray J might have a gun. When officers arrived, they found Ray J at his home and took him into custody. His bail was set at $50,000.
The livestream reportedly showed Ray J saying he was having “the worst Thanksgiving in the world.” During the broadcast, he allegedly picked up a handgun and confronted his estranged wife, Princess Love, over their children. Princess Love appeared on the livestream holding their daughter and claimed Ray J pointed the gun at them. Ray J denied this, but the situation became tense before police arrived.
Ray J and Princess Love married in 2016. Their relationship has been troubled, with several divorce filings over the years. They have two children: a seven-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son. Their divorce case is still ongoing.
Neither Ray J nor Princess Love have made public statements about the incident. Police are still investigating, and it is not clear if more charges will be filed.
