London, United Kingdom — Prince Harry paid tribute to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, on the third anniversary of her death. The Duke of Sussex returned briefly to the UK for charity events and personal remembrance.
On Monday evening, Harry attended the WellChild Awards in London United Kingdom, where he has been patron for 17 years. “I am always privileged to attend the WellChild Awards and meet the incredible children, families and professionals who inspire us all,” he said. He praised the courage of young people living with complex health needs and their dedicated caregivers.
Earlier in the day, the duke honored the late monarch at Windsor. He laid a wreath and flowers at the King George VI Memorial Chapel inside St. George’s Chapel, where the Queen rests beside Prince Philip.

Charity Events in London United Kingdom and Royal Speculation
On Tuesday, Harry will visit the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham. There, he will announce a significant donation to Children in Need, aimed at helping young people escape violence through film, video and music training. He will also reconnect with youth he has met before and watch performances from the studio’s artists.
His visit has fueled speculation about a meeting with King Charles III. The monarch is currently at Balmoral, Scotland, while continuing cancer treatment. Buckingham Palace has not commented. The father and son last met in February after Charles’ diagnosis. In July, aides from both sides met in London to reopen communication channels.
Meanwhile, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, also marked the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. They visited the National Federation of Women’s Institutes in Sunningdale, an organization the late Queen supported for 80 years. William will continue his work Tuesday with a trip to Spiral Skills, a London-based youth group backed by his “Homewards” homelessness initiative.
