Famous actor Kiefer Sutherland is starring in a new Christmas movie called Tinsel Town. This is a different role for him because the film is a holiday comedy with songs, dancing, and heartwarming moments, instead of the usual action movies he is known for.
In the movie, Sutherland plays Bradley Mack, a former Hollywood star whose career has slowed down after his big action movies ended. He is asked to go to a small town in England to perform in a Christmas stage show, called a pantomime. At first, Bradley is unsure about joining, but he slowly starts to enjoy the experience.
During rehearsals, Bradley works with a lively cast, including Rebel Wilson, who plays the show’s choreographer, Jill. Over time, he learns to reconnect with his art, make new friends, and repair his relationship with his daughter.
For Sutherland, this is a big change. He has never done singing or dancing in a movie before. At the London premiere, he said the role was both challenging and exciting. After more than 40 years in movies, he feels happy to try something very different.
The director, Chris Foggin, said he wanted Tinsel Town to be a film that families of all ages can enjoy. The movie includes a mix of British and international actors, giving it a festive and lively feel.
Tinsel Town was released in select U.S. theaters and on digital platforms on November 28, 2025. In the UK, it will be available on Sky Cinema starting December 5, 2025.
