Jonathan Anderson presented his first Dior womenswear collection at Paris Fashion Week, marking an important new step for the French fashion house. The runway show took place in the Tuileries Gardens and attracted a star-filled audience.

Anderson, who became Dior’s creative director earlier this year, had already shown his menswear ideas in June. But this was his first time shaping Dior’s women’s line. Many in the fashion world were curious to see how he would balance Dior’s history with his own modern style.
One highlight of the collection was Anderson’s new version of the famous Dior Bar jacket. Instead of the usual tight waist, he gave the jacket a looser shape and added volume at the back. He paired it with a pleated mini skirt that trailed behind, creating a dramatic effect on the runway.
The clothes showed a mix of soft and strong looks. Some outfits had tailored jackets worn with wide-legged pants, while others featured flowing dresses with open backs. Long capes, high-collared coats, and barrel-leg jeans also appeared in the show.
Before the models walked, a short film was played, mixing black-and-white clips with old Dior images. The video highlighted Dior’s history while preparing the audience for a fresh vision.
The event drew big names such as K-pop stars Jimin and Jisoo, actors Jennifer Lawrence, Jenna Ortega, and Johnny Depp. Their presence showed the high level of attention around Anderson’s debut.
Simon Longland, director of fashion at Harrods, described the show as “a collection of contrasts” and said it signaled “a bold new chapter” for Dior.
For Anderson, the debut was more than just another runway. It was a chance to prove that he can carry Dior’s heritage forward while giving it a modern voice. The fashion industry is facing challenges, but his first Dior womenswear collection suggests that the brand is ready to take risks and embrace change.
