Iconic ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Elf’ Props Hit the Market as Propstore Launches Major Movie Memorabilia Auction

Some of the most famous movie items ever seen on screen from Star Wars to Elf will be sold next month as Propstore prepares a major film memorabilia auction.

The event, called the Winter Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction, will take place from December 5 to December 7. More than 1,350 items will be offered, with a total estimated value of around £8 million.

The most valuable item in the auction is the original EE-3 carbine rifle used by the bounty hunter Boba Fett in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Propstore says this is the only screen-used version known to exist. Their team spent weeks checking the details including wood markings and serial numbers to confirm that it was used in the film. The rifle is expected to sell for £350,000 to £700,000.

Other Star Wars pieces in the auction include a rebel pilot helmet from the same movie and a Stormtrooper blaster used in Return of the Jedi. These items are expected to draw strong interest from collectors and long-time fans of the franchise.

The sale also includes well-known items from other films. One highlight is the green costume worn by Will Ferrell in the Christmas comedy Elf. The outfit, recognised by many viewers, is estimated to sell for £100,000 to £200,000.

Propstore’s auction will also offer memorabilia from a wide range of other popular films. Items include costumes, weapons, props, and accessories from adventure, action, and sci-fi movies, making this one of the biggest sales of its kind.

For movie fans and collectors, the auction is a rare chance to own a real piece of film history. Whether it is a prop from Star Wars or a costume from a beloved holiday movie, many of these items are expected to find new homes with passionate buyers around the world.
