Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-term partner Georgina Rodríguez are engaged, marking a new chapter in a relationship that has captured global attention.
Rodríguez, 31, announced the news on Instagram Monday with a photo showcasing a large engagement ring on her finger. Her caption in Spanish read, “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”
The couple shares two daughters, and Rodríguez has also helped raise Ronaldo’s three other children. Their journey has not been without hardship; in 2022, they suffered the loss of one of their newborn twins, a boy, a tragedy that brought them even closer together.
Ronaldo, 40, and Rodríguez first met in 2016 while she was working at a Gucci store in Madrid. Their connection grew quickly, with Rodríguez stepping into the unique role of supporting one of football’s biggest stars while building a family together. Over the years, they have faced the intense scrutiny of the public eye, balancing careers, family life, and personal challenges.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star currently plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, while Rodríguez has carved out her own public presence through modeling and social media. Their engagement celebrates not only their love but also the journey they have shared in building a blended family under the global spotlight.
