Popular American country music singer, Dolly Parton, has postponed her forthcoming Las Vegas residency by nine months. Unfortunately, this was planned be her first extended run in Las Vegas in more than three decades, forcing fans to wait a while before they can see the country music icon onstage.

The 79-year-old posted on her social media account, explaining that she would be postponing her Las Vegas shows until September 2026 because health challenges required her to have a few procedures. According to her, she wouldn’t have enough time to rehearse for the six shows, which were scheduled to take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in December. So, she just needed a little time to get the show ready.
Being of the most anticipated engagements of the year, the shows were expected to weave seven decades of hits, including “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” and “I Will Always Love You.” Meanwhile, tickets had already been sold out for weeks, with resale value in the thousands.
Although Dolly Parton did not disclose the exact status of her health, she was recently forced to pull out of a Dollywood event after being diagnosed with a kidney stone that she said was causing a lot of problems.
Earlier this year, it was reported that she lost her beloved husband, Carl Dean, after nearly 60 years of marriage. She later dedicated a new song titled, “If You Hadn’t Been There,” to his memory.
It has really been a terrific year for the country music legend. This postponement came as a surprise to many of her fans who were anticipating to welcome her during the shows. Meanwhile, original tickets for her Las Vegas shows are set to be valid for the new dates, and refunds will be made available for those affected.
