Bills Wide Receiver Keon Coleman to Be Benched Again, Will Miss Next Game

The Buffalo Bills will not play wide receiver Keon Coleman in their next game. This is the second time Coleman will be benched this season. The team said he will be a healthy scratch and will not take part in the game.

Coleman has had some problems with team rules. Reports say he was late to a team meeting last Friday. This is not the first time Coleman has been late or broken team rules.

Head coach Sean McDermott said Coleman needs to regain the trust of the coaches and his teammates before he can play again.

Teammates have also spoken about the situation. Left tackle Dion Dawkins said the team expects all players to follow the rules and take responsibility for their actions. Dawkins said that Coleman will need to work hard to earn back the team’s trust.

With Coleman out, the Bills will rely on other wide receivers. Gabe Davis and Tyrell Shavers are expected to play more. Other players like Mecole Hardman and Curtis Samuel are still injured, so the team will need others to step up.

McDermott said that a few days of good behavior will not be enough. Coleman must show that he can follow rules and work hard every day. The team believes he might have a chance to play again after the next break.

Coleman was a second-round pick in 2024 and showed promise early in his career. But his repeated problems with team rules have caused concerns about his future with the Bills. If he does not improve, he may have a smaller role in the team’s offense.

The Bills will now focus on preparing for the upcoming game without Coleman. Fans will be watching to see how the team adapts and which players step up to fill his spot.
